Bristol Airport does not publish or endorse an official mobile app. Unlike some larger UK airports, there is no "Bristol Airport" app built and run by the airport itself. Two unrelated third-party apps use Bristol Airport's code (BRS) in their name and listing, both built by outside developers rather than the airport, and the airport's own free live flight board at bristolairport.co.uk covers most of what either app offers anyway. Checked against the Apple App Store, Google Play and Bristol Airport's own site, November 2026.
Why there's no "official" Bristol Airport app
Search an app store for "Bristol Airport" and something will come up, which leads a lot of travellers to assume it's run by the airport. It isn't. Bristol Airport's own website has no link to a native app in its navigation, help pages or footer, and its own travel-tips and contact-and-help pages point passengers to the website's live arrivals and departures board rather than an app. A Bristol Airport-branded app did exist briefly around 2010 to 2011, built by a company called StreamThru, but that product is long discontinued and is not related to either app currently listed in the stores.
What the two third-party apps actually are
Both of the apps you'll find are independent products, not official Bristol Airport software, and they differ a fair bit in quality and upkeep:
| App | Platform | Developer | Last updated | What it offers |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bristol Airport Information | iOS (iPhone/iPad) | John Mollaghan | Actively maintained | Live arrivals/departures, gate and baggage belt info, flight status, boarding pass storage, parking spot notes, weather |
| Bristol Airport (BRS) Info | Android | Sinecloud | 7 Oct 2023 (stale) | Live arrival/departure board, currency converter, world clock, packing checklist, flight deals |
The iOS app, "Bristol Airport Information," is a free, actively maintained generic airport-information app template used across many airports worldwide, not written specifically for Bristol. It's free with optional in-app purchases, carries an 18+ age rating, and has a respectable 4.3 rating from 272 reviews. Its flight-tracking data comes from the same industry feeds that power most third-party trackers, not from a special arrangement with the airport.
The Android app, "Bristol Airport (BRS) Info," hasn't been updated since October 2023, over three years ago. It contains ads and in-app purchases, and an app that hasn't been maintained in that long is a reasonable thing to be cautious about, both for accuracy of live flight data and for how much background data access an old, unmaintained app might still have.
So what should you actually use?
For the one thing most people want an app for, live flight status, Bristol Airport's own website does the job without installing anything: the free arrivals and departures board pulls directly from the airport's operational systems, updates in real time, and needs no account or download.
If you specifically want a phone app (for offline boarding passes, a "where did I park" note, or a home-screen shortcut), of the two available, the iOS "Bristol Airport Information" app is the better-maintained option. There is no equivalent well-maintained option currently in the Google Play Store for Android users; a general flight-tracking app such as Flightradar24 or FlightAware, searched by flight number, is a safer bet than the stale 2023 BRS-specific one.
Does Bristol Airport have an app for booking parking or duty free?
No single app covers that either. Car park bookings are made through the airport's own website or its "Manage My Booking" portal, not an app, and World Duty Free's Reserve & Collect pre-order service also runs through a website rather than a dedicated Bristol Airport app.
