Short Stay is the middle option at Bristol Airport: pricier than leaving a car at Silver Zone for days, but built for waits longer than a quick Drop and Go set-down.

The quick answer

Short Stay parking at Bristol Airport starts at £8.50 for up to 15 minutes, rising to £30.00 for 1 to 4 hours. It suits picking someone up when their flight might run late, or a short visit to the terminal, rather than leaving a car for a whole trip. Prices checked August 2026, effective from 5 January 2026.

The Short Stay tariff

Time in Short StayCharge
Up to 15 minutes£8.50
15 to 30 minutes£10.50
30 to 45 minutes£13.00
45 to 60 minutes£25.00
1 to 4 hours£30.00

The tariff rose on 5 January 2026, the second annual increase in a row, so if you've used the car park before, treat older price guides as out of date.

How it compares to the alternatives

When Short Stay makes sense

Short Stay is the right call when you want to be close to the terminal for a wait of an hour or so, for example if you're meeting someone off a flight that could be delayed and you'd rather not risk the Drop and Go charge climbing, but you don't want the shuttle-bus step that comes with the free Waiting Zone. It's also useful for a quick visit into the terminal itself, to see someone off at check-in or collect a delayed bag, where a few hours' cover is more useful than a 15-minute Drop and Go slot.

Booking ahead

As with every car park at Bristol Airport, gate prices can run well above a rate booked in advance. If you know roughly when you'll need Short Stay, pre-booking online before you travel is the more reliable way to fix the cost rather than finding out the price on arrival.

If you'd rather skip parking altogether

If you're only dropping off or collecting, you don't need a car park at all: the free Waiting Zone or the Drop and Go tariff will usually work out cheaper than Short Stay, depending on how long you expect to wait. Full detail is on our drop-off page. If you're travelling yourself and don't want to drive, our taxi page and public transport page cover the alternatives.
